activities and scheduling.
The FCC
Youth Blog is a moderated BLOG; i.e. comments must be approved
by Erin Bradbury -so your comments may not appear for a few
hours - this is done for the protection of all of our youth. If

of the Youth Patrol, if you need another just ask!

helping out once a month.
To comply with the
new safe church policies everyone that works with or plans to
work with the children and youth of our church must fill out and
return to Martha Evans or myself a CORI form. The process of
clearing these forms takes about 30 days, so please fill them
out as soon as possible. Forms are available in the church
office or the CE office.
Meetings are
held as noted in the Youth Blog. Click the link above this
section or use the tab to the left.

Question of the Month
Questions
for the Congregation from the Pilgrim Fellowship. These could be
questions on faith, church, outreach, service or other topics on
the minds of our Youth. Please take a minute and email Erin
Bradbury at
cedirector@firstcongfalmouth.org with your answers to these
very important questions. If you wish to remain anonymous you
may leave your answers in the Director of CE box at church or
mark your email as ‘I wish to remain anonymous” and I will
remove your name before passing the answers on to the Youth
Patrol.
This month's question:
What did your Youth Group do?

Outreach
The Church School
and Youth of our church will have an opportunity to explore what
“Service to God” means to them and how they can give of their
special talents and gifts today and in the future.
Childrens' Library:
The new and
improved Children’s Library will be set up in Fellowship Hall
beginning with the first Sunday in December. There are lots of
great books for children to take home on the honor system.
There are also a great many books both in the Library and in the
Resource Room that Shepherds and Leaders could use to gain more
perspective on the events leading up to Jesus’ birth. Please
encourage the children to take a book home for a week. There
will also be an adult book swap area for all adults to share
their books with others. Please mark adult books with an “A” on
the spine or cover so no mistakes are made. No magazines or
very large books, we don’t have the room.
Operation Anti Freeze
An outreach
project of the Church School. The young people of our church
will be collecting hats, mittens, and scarves to pin to a
clothesline. The hope is to make sure no one goes without these
basic necessities this winter. The congregation is encouraged
to join in and help fill the clothesline. Items will be given
to our own clothing outreach program.
Acolyte Program
– Our acolyte program is open to Church School Children and
Youth From the Sixth Grade on up. Acolytes bring the light of
Christ into the Sanctuary before each service and then return to
bring that same light out into the world. Please let Ms. B know
if you would like to sign up for this program.
Dress A living
Doll -
A Salvation Army Project. The Youth Patrol held a bake sale on
the Sunday before Thanksgiving to raise money to outfit a young
person with everything he may need for winter. This included:
shoes, socks, slippers, sleepwear, coat, hat, gloves,
sweatshirt, shirts, pants and even a few toys. They did a
spectacular job baking and decorating the goodies for the bake
sale and then wrapping all the gifts for our sponsored child
Heifer Project
“Heifer
International, a non- profit organization, works to end world
hunger and save the earth through the gift of farm animals and
training. For nearly 60 year, Heifer has helped well over four
million impoverished families in 128 countries move away from
poverty and towards self-reliance”.
Jan Hull has
created animals for our Heifer Project Zoo. You will see them
around the church in early December. Please encourage the
children to feed them coins which will be used to buy animals
for families in need.
Inanda
Church
In
October of 2004 our church celebrated the beginning of a
four-year partnership with the Inanda Congregational Church in
KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. We recently received three pen pal
letters from the Youth of the Inanda Church. You may pick up
copies of these letters in Ms. Bradbury’s office; you can drop
off your replies there too. Try to include a few pictures of
your town or activities such as sports, youth group, or maybe
volunteer/school projects you are involved in.
