Recycle with FCC!

Did You Know...

...that our church collects different items not only to recycle them but use the proceeds for continuing Outreach efforts? Here's what we need and where you can bring your donations!

Food labels - Campbell's, Pepperidge Farm, Swanson, V8, Prego, Pace & Box tops for Education are collected by the Women's Union and sent to the Elon School for Children in Elon College , NC . The labels are redeemed by the school to purchase vans and educational equipment. A complete list of participating products can be found on the table outside the church office. Please take one to post on your refrigerator as a reminder. Labels can be brought to the church and placed in the box in the kitchen.

Used eyeglasses - Old, no longer used prescription eyeglasses are collected in a basket on the table outside the church office. They are periodically sent to an agency that provides them to persons in third-world countries.

Old cell phones - Our Youth Outreach project is collecting no-longer-used cell phones. The phones need to be in working order with batteries attached. The phones are sent to a company that purchases them from us then recycles them, usually to agencies that provide emergency aid to women-at-risk. Since not all cell phones are taken, we ask that you bring your donation to the church office so that the model number can be compared to a list of applicable models.

Ink jet printer cartridges - If the cartridge will fit in your hand, our Youth can probably receive money for recycling it. Please take care to protect the print head (the best idea is to place the used cartridge in the box after you've removed the new cartridge!). Cartridges can be placed in the box in the Fellowship Hall lobby, directly across from the stairs.

Pop top rings - As a service to the Rainbow Girls, we still provide a basket in the lobby of Fellowship Hall to collect the rings from beverage A pop-tops.
