MUSIC IN OUR CHURCH The music ministry at First Congregation Church of Falmouth offers a spiritual and Christ centered singing (or playing) experience for people of all ages. The program is well supported by the congregation, and each of the singing and ringing choirs in turn do their part to enhance the weekly worship services. There is choral singing for every Sunday service during the year as well as an occasional concert. In addition to the regular year round Sunday schedule of services, there are occasional Thanksgiving or other community involved worship experiences. Other choral events which dot the busy music schedule are held on a regular basis. They include an occasional concert involving choirs and ringers from other area churches plus guest singers a musicians. In recent years the senior choir, has performed the Christmas Cantata by Daniel Pinkham, which was accompanied by brass choir, the Schubert Mass in G and Mozart's Ave Verum Corpus with string quart and Vivaldi's "Gloria," with full orchestra accompaniment. An annual "Messiah" sing-in is held every year during the fourth Sunday in December. It is an event which is anticipated with great enthusiasm by the community and involves the audience in the performance as the chorus. a volunteer orchestra of very talented community members provides accompaniment.
